On macOS, Google Chrome can natively capture audio coming from inside the active tab. However, capturing the full system-level audio (such as other applications like Spotify or Discord) requires using Chrome's "Share Screen" option with "Share Audio" checked. Ensure you check "Share Audio" in the browser overlay pop-up before recording.

Files are saved directly to your local computer's default "Downloads" folder immediately after clicking the "Stop Recording" button. The extension processes files locally, generating standard high-definition `.webm` video container exports.

Yes, keyboard hotkeys are fully customizable. Open a new browser tab and navigate to chrome://extensions/shortcuts. Locate cx-tab-recorder-plus and bind your preferred keys to Start/Stop or Mute commands.

There are no hardcoded limits on recording duration. However, because encoding runs locally in the browser, long recordings (e.g. over 2 hours at 1080p 60fps) are constrained by your machine's system memory (RAM). We recommend lowering resolution settings if you plan to capture long sessions.
