Privacy Policy for OmniCapt

Product: OmniCapt Browser Extension Last Updated: June 17, 2026

ZumiLabs ("we", "our", "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy details our data collection, storage, and protection practices for the ZumiLabs OmniCapt browser extension ("OmniCapt").

1. No Data Collection or Transmission

OmniCapt is engineered to run entirely locally in your web browser. We do not run any remote backends, and we do not collect, capture, store, transmit, or share any personal information, browsing history, captured screenshots, recorded video files, or configuration settings. Everything stays securely on your machine.

2. Use of Browser Storage

OmniCapt uses the browser's local sandbox storage (chrome.storage.local) and IndexedDB solely to persist your configuration settings (such as URL sets, resolution configurations, pre-capture styling rules, and custom logo images). This data stays isolated within your browser's extension sandbox and is never shared, synced, or uploaded to any third-party servers.

3. Third-Party Integrations & Permissions

OmniCapt requires permissions like activeTab, tabs, debugger, and storage to execute web captures and emulate screen resolutions. The extension also supports optional integrations (such as Slack, Jira, or GitHub) to export your captures when you request it. Any data transferred to these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. No data is shared with ZumiLabs during these exports.

4. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about our local-first practices.
